About "The Magic Tutu"...

The Magic Tutu was originally a ballet I wrote for the youngest members of our non-profit Boulder City Ballet Company (BCBC) in 2003.  The little girls who danced in the ballet were ages 3-8 and they received "Bravos!" from the audience after all three, sold-out performances.

Magic Tutu fever spead thru our little town of Boulder City, Nevada.  Everyone loved the story of the the little blonde ballerina with brown eyes who had to wait until she was seven years old to open a present Grandma gave her when she was born.  The ballet included enchanting children's songs written & performed by my childhood friend, Bunny Hull, and I would literally hear my little dancers (and their Mommies too!) humming or singing Bunny's songs in line at the bank, in the grocery store and in the lobby of my dance studio!  Many families asked me to turn The Magic Tutu into a book so their children could experience the story again.....so I did.  And then I also made an audio CD (in my voice) with two of Bunny's songs and the recurring "melody" that Little Haley hears coming from Grandma's present whenever she does what's right.

The Magic Tutu story is precious and my daughter Haley (the main character in the story) loves the story as much as I do.  She also loves the Little Haley Doll that Vida made and she loves the audio CD that I recorded.  The Magic Tutu is the first in a series of "Little Haley Stories." My next book, Juliana Cuddles, is about the adoption of a little girl kitten with four white paws and finding Real Love.  The main characters in Juliana Cuddles are my niece, Desiree, and her cat.  It's almost ready for publication and was also an original ballet I wrote for my little ballerinas.
